2017 Special Entrance Examinations for Privately-Funded International Students Living Overseas (Undergraduates)

Currently, Osaka University is implementing two types of special entrance examination, Type I and Type II, designed for privately-funded undergraduate international students residing outside Japan. Special features of these entrance examinations are that applicants will not be required to come to Japan to take examinations including the EJU(Examination for Japanese University admission for International Students) and can be accepted through document screening (An interview may be conducted as needed), and that the applicants achieving outstanding performance will be granted priority on receipt of financial assistance and/or entrance into on-campus dormitories.

Intended for: individuals who live overseas (outside Japan) and have received school education overseas (outside Japan) and have Japanese Language Proficiency Test Grade N1, N2, or equivalent.

Application period: October 1 ~ December 11, 2015
Start of a preliminary and extensive Japanese education program: October 2016.
Enrollment in undergraduate school: April 2017.
*Individuals who passed this examination will take part in the preliminary and extensive Japanese education program for six months before enrolling in Osaka University.
